Wellbeing Provision 2025 – 2026
There is a strong tradition in the school of nurturing each student in a holistic approach and of focusing on student wellbeing. The wellbeing of all members of the school community is reflected in our school culture, curriculum, policy and planning and relationships.
With the introduction of the new Junior Cycle Framework 2015, provision on the timetable for Wellbeing has become more formalised. All Junior students experience PE, SPHE (including RSE), CSPE and Pastoral Care. All Senior students experience PE, Pastoral Care, Guidance (provision depends on year) and RSE.
In 2025 - 2026 there are 429 hours of Wellbeing embedded in the timetable at Ballinrobe Community School. CSPE, SPHE and PE will develop their subject plans around the NCCA short courses for these subjects.
