New Fitness Hub FAQs

New Fitness Hub FAQs

Why are we building this?

Our student population is expanding and we want to offer students the best educational experience possible. We feel the time is right to fundraise ourselves and make sure it's the very best it can be for the whole community. We want to BUILD. COMMUNITY. STRONG.

What will it be used for?

  • Physical Education classes: Health-related activities are now a key part of the PE curriculum and having strrength and conditioning and cardiovascular equipment such as treadmills will allow us to offer a more comprehensive education
  • Students and staff access: before and after school to work on their own fitness/s&c programmes
  • School teams: S & C is akey part of preparation for sports. Non-weight exercises will be catered for as well.
  • Pre and Post Match: The space can be used for warm-up and cool-downs. It will also have overhead projector, touchscreen and a tactics board for analysis and team talks
  • Local Sports teams: We will be offering the space to local sports clubs who want access to a modern, well-equipped gym. We will provide enough equipment for a squad of 30 players.
  • Local exercise class providers. We want to make the space as mulit-purpose as possible. We will have yoga mats and enough space to allow classes to take place in comfort and safety.
  • Local groups: Giving the space for meetings, social gatherings is a key aprt of the plan. As a community school, we want to offer this to the whole community.
